a network of service and caring in our communities!

Treasures in Town
Treasures in Town, Inc. is a community non-profit thrift shop where volunteers collect and resell dotated clothing and household items.  Merchandise is offered to EVERYONE at affordable prices in a respectful, accessible atmosphere.  All profits collected are contributed to other local non-profit organizations involved in efforts to provide services to area residents and promote our community.

206 South Main Street in Le Sueur

Current hours of operation:  T, W, Th, F  12:30 - 5:oo pm
                                                     Saturday  9:00 am - Noon

Treasures in Town opened on May 19, 2006.  In less than one year, it was able to help other Le Sueur non-profits by donating substantial monetary gifts.


In addtion:
 


*It encourages conservation and environmental goals by promoting reuse and recycling

*It donotes over 500 boxes of used items annually to the Epilepsy Foundation

*It gives free and reduced-price clothing to to families referred due to extreme need

*It works with other community groups to recycle additional items

*It was awarded a certificate for outstanding and invaluable service in Sept., 2007 

Over 3,500 hours each year are donated by voluneers to make this all happen!

Treasures in Town is committed to helping other worthy organizations in our community with their funding needs.  If your organization or group is interested in seeking funds, please pick up an application at our store.  Only applications completed and returned by May, 1st 2009 will be considered for this year.  
Star of the North - Olson, Erickson and Mueller
At a "Star of the North" ceremony in September, 2007, Congressman John Kline thanked Le Sueur's Marlys Olson, Marilyn Erickson, and Karen Mueller of Treasures in Town for donating $4,000 to Le Sueur-Henderson Youth Opportunities.

Treasures in Town has no membership requirements.  It is not sponsored or supported by any other group, agency, business or organization.

You can get involved by:

*Shopping at our store
*Donating usable clothing or household items
     (During business hours only please!)
*Signing up to donate time by becoming a volunteer
