Our Story...
In 2003 the City of Le Sueur expanded and remodeled its library.  Today, it is one of the nicest small town libraries in south-central Minnesota. Part of the Waseca-Le Sueur Regional Library System, it now boasts one of the largest collections of children's books, adult best-sellers, audiobooks and DVDs in the area.  The Friends of the Le Sueur Library have worked hard to raise thousands of dollars to expand the library's local collection.  And what you don't find in our collection, can be borrowed for you from other libraries--All For Free!
Check Us Out!
The Le Sueur Public Library provides the community with an amazing collection of books, magazines audiobooks and 1000+ movies on DVD and VHS, all which can be borrowed for free with your library card.  In addition, the library offers entertaining story hours 20 weeks each year, and a blowout Summer Reading Program that is enjoyed by over 300 area young people.

The library also offers 8 public-access internet terminals, or if you prefer, bring your own laptop and use the superfast wireless connection in the building.  Again, all for free!

Make a Splash in 2010!
Make a Splash, is the Summer Reading Program theme for 2010!  The program begins in June.  Sign up anytime between Friday, June 4th and Friday, July 16th and join us for a number of extra fun activities.  This year, the Le Sueur Library is partnering with LSH Youth Opportunities to present some of its offerings for older youth.  All for free, all at the library!
Get Involved...
The Friends of the Le Sueur Library are always looking for new members to help with fundraisers.  Librarian Dianne Pinney can always use good teen volunteers in the summer to help keep up with a circulation that doubles in the summer months.  Need some volunteer hours for school, for church or to put on a college resume?  Talk with Dianne!

(Are you interested in starting a Young People's Friends of the Library group?  Again, talk with Dianne!)
